Dan Maginnity (Byrd) is Canberra’s pre-eminent mural artist. The themes of his work have grown out of his longstanding inquiry into Australiaís natural environment. He splinters and bends contemporary politics, pop-culture, and histories of place. These works speak to our cultural memory, political consciousness, and habits within built environments.
